Welcome
from the Principal
Situated on the side of a hill between Lion’s Head and Signal Hill, Tamboerskloof Primary School continues to flourish, as it has done for the past 120 years.
Established in a house in 1903 with forty children and one teacher, the school now accommodates 440 children and has a staffing complement of over 30. Affectionately known by our students as Tambi, we're a family-styled school and while we value our tradition and heritage, we pride ourselves in offering our students a 21st century school programme.
We create a homely, disciplined environment all while providing a sound, enjoyable and well-rounded education. We insist that our students be presentable and neat, have impeccable manners, show respect toward fellow learners and staff, and always strive for excellence, as inspired by our school motto.
Students are taught by a team of highly qualified teachers who are passionate about education. Classrooms are well-equipped and staff regularly attend training sessions and workshops to ensure that they are at the forefront of development within education.
I am so proud to lead this school and my sincere hope is that we raise students who will become future leaders and upstanding citizens of society.
Yours truly,
Randal Abrahams
Principal
